Saturday, September 24th at Maymont Park (Hampton Street Entrance)
Bus Will Depart Deep Run HS at 9:00 and will return at approx. 3:15 pm
Race Schedule
10:55 Boys Invitational Division: Reid, Weaver, Sheppard, Robinson, Varon, Brennan, Hornsby
11:50 Girls JV Red: all other runners
1:15 Boys JV White: all other runners
2:15 Girls Varsity Bronze: Dobbs, Koo, Good, Corbitt, O’Connor, Nolan, Vales
***All teams must be at the start 10 minutes before their race time. There are no calls. Watch the starter!!
Athletes: Be prepared with uniform, spikes, clothes to warmup in, water bottle snacks, entertainment etc. Warmups for each race should start about 50 minutes before the start. Everybody should cooldown 15 minutes after their race with the groups they raced in.
Directions
Take I 64 East to 95 S until the Boulevard Exit # 78
Go South on Boulevard for 2 miles
Turn Left on Cary and go ½ mile
Turn Right on Meadow Street and go one mile
Turn Right on Pennsylvania Ave. and go one block to the parking lot ahead
Parents can park in the visitors lot or on the surrounding neighborhood streets. Parking will be limited, car pooling is recommended
Athletes
Our training schedule is set up to put a lot of emphasis on this weekend. The situation will provide all the competition and energy needed to promote top level performances. Maymont is a great testing ground for our strength and determination. You will be rested and ready to race hard. You should plan on racing in groups and moving up in the second half of the race. This is the way we train and the way we must race. In most races the leader at the mile is not the winner. Race smart, race tough and have fun.
