Home Meet vs. Freeman and Atlee Results

Wednesday, September 27th, the Deep Run Cross Country teams competed at home against Atlee and Douglas Freeman. Both teams were defeated by Freeman but beat Atlee. Courtlin LaReau won the girls race with a time of 19:30 followed by Erin Bragg in 3rd place at 19:44 and Jennifer Harrell in 10th place at 21:06. The boys team was lead by Drew Spicer who also won with a time of 16:29. Booth Hornsby finished soon after in 4th place at 17:09.

Maymont Cross Country Festival Results

The Deep Run Cross Country teams competed at the McDonald's Maymont Cross Country Festival this past Saturday. With 70 schools and almost 1300 athletes attending, both teams faced strong competition. With a course known for its hilly terrain, times were generally expected to be slightly slower than this past home meet.

Hanover Meet Results

Both teams placed 2nd out of 5 teams competing.

Deep Run XC Teams Make Big Strides at Brentsville

The Deep Run Boys and Girls Cross Country teams showed solid improvement under the lights at the Brentsville Relays on September 16.

Athletes,

This must be the year that we break through the bounds of the Central Region and compete in the State competition. We have enormous potential but we must continue to grow stronger over the summer. Each day as you train, remind yourselves and each other that every step you take from now until November is towards the State meet. Use these goals to drive you on, motivate you, and challenge you.


Women : Top 2 in Districts, Top 3 in Regionals, Top 8 in States

Men: Top 3 in Districts, Top 4 in Regionals, Top 10 in States
