Deep Run achieved new heights at the 2005 Colonial District Outdoor Track and Field championships.
Deep Run boys finished 7th, with 31 points. Kirk Fischer, a freshman, won the high jump with a 6' 0" leap.
Deep Run girls finished 6th with 43 points. Bridget Fleisher scored in 4 separate individual events.

Deep Run athletes set several school records at last Saturday's Dogwood Invitational at UVA's Lannigan field. Fans and athletes braved periods of chilly rain in a long day of events. As always, the Dogwood Invitational includes top track stars from across the state. Sarah Bowman, the Faquier HS runner with the top HS 800 and 1600 M times in US this year, gave an impressive demonstration of her talents in the anchor leg of the girls 4x800 and 4x400 relays.
Deep Run's girls 4x800 M relay team, running in the same heat as Sarah Bowman, produced the top Deep Run result of the day, a 4th place, 10:06.02 finish.

Deep Run's performances at last Saturday's Lee-Davis Invitational again included top 5 finishes by Megan Fuson, Kirk Fischer, Ryan Biggs, and both the girls and boys 4x800 M relay teams.
