Coaches welcome message to parents for 2005 Cross Country season

Welcome to another Cross Country season in Wildcat country!

The coaching staff is extremely excited about your son or daughter's decision to join the Cross Country team here at Deep Run. As we approach the program's 4th year, one can't help but notice the growth and development that has taken place. This should be the year that both teams assert their claims in the district and region, and look toward their first State Championship meet as full teams. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of your student-athlete and our Cross Country program

We hope to build off the women's 6th place finish in the Central Region Meet last year. The women have a great shot at the top 2 teams in the Colonial District and will be one of the contenders for a bid to the State Championship meet. The men will surprise many this fall. We have a group of rising Juniors that promise to lead the way. The men should be able to earn a spot in the Central Region meet and will be aiming for a top 5 finish. With a few breakthroughs and some contributions from younger athletes, the State Championship meet becomes a realistic possibility.

The coaching staff understands that it takes a partnership between coaches, athletes, and parents to help a t eam develop into a program of excellence. To facilitate this partnershipo, we welcome questions and communication so that we can provide the best possible experience for the athletes. Feel free to contact us as indicated below. Together we can continue to grow into a perennial Cross Country and Track powerhouse at Deep Run High School.
