June 6, 2006 - Deep Run High School, Henrico County, VA

Deep Run's girls and boys Outdoor Track & Field athletes were recognized for their accomplishments at the awards ceremony on Tuesday evening. The girls' district championship title was among the athletic successes highlighted by both Dr. Spence and Mr. Jenkins.

Individual awards were presented by Coach Stockdreher.

Girls' award recipients

• Most Improved - Courtlin LaReau
• Coach's Award - Megan Fuson
• Most Valuable - Brianna Hudson

Boys' award recipients

• Most Improved - Matthew Armentrout
• Coach's Award - Michael Freeze
• Most Valuable - David Lynch

During the separate team awards sessions, Coach Stockdreher praised the outstanding accomplishments of both teams and set a goal of winning the state championship 2007 for the girls team. He said that winning next year is possible if the girls team starts thinking and preparing now.
